New Mobile Web Development with XAMPP!

I have just added a new site to my series of sites. It has to do with a stand alone on your PC web server and development system based on XAMPP. I have been using it for a month and just love the idea behind it. My new site is at this link. The reason is it based for the iPhone is it runs on a laptop and the page development can be done on the iPhone. Then the web page can be uploaded to the site. It is also possible to run the XAMPP server on a laptop and have it connected to the internet. This is possible if you are using Vista Ultimate with the software addition for the world wide web. I haven't tried it yet but there are articles on how it is to be done on the web.

Since I have done my articles on the iPhone and use the Google Drive service for storage, I will begin to do the same for the web page development. I am also using the Google Chrome product as my main browser. One reason is it has a web based PHP editor that I use to write my code with. Since I am using XAMPP as the web server, I am developing a PHP series of tutorials that I will place on the above site. So keep an eye out for further developments on this new site!

Major Update!

Hello, Have new and exciting news from barryselkmarketing. As you noticed I haven't done any postings on these blogs because i've been working on my other site for the past month. The one biggest thing I did on my Weebly site is added a Topic Library. This library has 2 purposes. First, it talks about topics that have to do with email, traffic, web design and programming, and several other topics. But it doesn't do it only as an article, but it talks about tools that are available out on the internet that I have been using during the last 3 years. These are tools that I have researched and had a chance to use and I would recommend them for beginners to advance users. Second, it gives me an immediate access to these tools so I don't have to look at bookmarks, email, etc. that tends to slow me down. When I'm using my setup, I can go and research and article, add a page, check my traffic, look up info on Google, etc. which is what I do while working on my sites or product launches. I have found out that since I built this up, it has cut my research or design time a lot. Because I don't have to look things up while working! It is a great work environment because things are only a click away. And guess what, I did this over the period of 1 month to get the structure built up. That's the power of Weebly! Hello again,

I have just created a new website on Weebly.com. This site will become my marketing site for barryselkmarketing and Mobile iPhone Blogger. I plan to show my future products sales pages on this site. This way I can keep this blog site separate from my sales site. You can go to it by looking at the page for other links on this site.

This is the first time I heard of Weebly and all I can say it fantastic for being a free or pay site It has a lot of features that are suited to a blogger or a marketer. The process for creating a site is user friendly and it is easy to create a very professional looking site. If you need a website of your own, I suggest you take a look at Weebley! The iPhone Gamer

The iPhone Gamer!

One last thing I want to do is I'm always interested in technology. As such I've always loved programming. The one area I've always wanted to dabble in is GAME Programming. Now it really started to get interesting when again, I got the iPhone. One thing in my early years in electronics was how nice it would be to have a portable game machine. Now there are xBoxes, Sonys, tablets, etc. But I was always interested in a world of small pocket computers. Now everybody has had a feel for gaming on computers. Example: Atari and Sega consoles! I've always wanted to know 'How do you do that?'. Well when I got my iPhone, guess what? It's a computer with games! So yes again, I'll have another site for this topic of discussion on game development.

I could get into personal robotics but I'll leave that for later!

Marketing Using iPhone Blogger!

New ideas for my iPhone Blogger site!

My next reason for doing this experiment is have you ever see Blogger on an iPhone? It is nice to be able to post on one site and the results can be see on a desktop and a phone! Oh yeah, you can do this on a regular website like I did. But there is one thing a regular website cannot do, is the costs involved. Yes Blogger allows you to do this for FREE! I'll tell you that free is nice, especially in this bad economic climate. Also I can do my work on this blog on my iPhone! So hopefully I can discover how to use this as a marketing tool. This is another subject that I will set up another Blogger site for Free to discuss the net marketing with an iPhone blogger life!

barryselkmarketing on Google!

Hello and welcome to barryselkmarketing blog on Google. I started my first blog site here on Google on Aug 2009. It is called NetMarketingDummy and is still there but has not been used since then. It was started out of desperation after a layoff and tells that story.

I decided to try out Blogger and see if it can be used as an internet marketer tool. As costs got bigger in running a full blown website as I did, I will attempt to see if the same things can be done on Blogger if in a different way. So you can say it is an experiment as a marketing tool! So if you have done this and it works,  drop me a line! I'm very interested in hearing your ideas.
